Emily Horning is a well-educated and courageous blind woman who has managed to transform adversities into strengths and happiness. Growing up in the American Northwest, Emily studied at the University of Washington and then at Lund University. In Sweden, Emily worked as an accountant consultant and interpreter, before losing her sight. In the spring of 2020, she received her certification and diploma as a medical massage therapist. Drawing from her various life experiences, Emily can uniquely support, meet, and help others, where blindness is an advantage. Emily focuses on three important guideposts: Joy, Happiness, and Clarity.
Among other qualifications, Emily is a certified medical massage therapist, certified by the industry council Svensk Massage. She is also certified in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture as well as Chinese herbal medicine, and is a student member of Svenska Akupunkturförbundet.
